I would say it is pretty quiet but not silent, with a slightly lower pitch than my Logtitech mice. The Basilisk X Hyperspeed leans more toward the quiet side for the left button and a little louder on the right button (unless you pound on the buttons with your finger - then they sound pretty equal).
