The RTX 3070 still performs well in 2023, with 1% lows above 60 FPS at 1080p in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is more than playable on the ultra preset with the RTX 3070 at both 1080p and 1440p. God of War is more than playable on the RTX 3070 both at 1080P and 1440p.
While the Radeon RX 6800 may still provide better raw performance, the 3070's ray-tracing capabilities, DLSS support, and better optimization for creative applications make it a solid choice, especially for gamers who value these features.
Definitely would recommend if you're upgrading from any 2000' or even 1000' series cards. The temps stay pretty cool too, it's great at keeping itself reasonably temped. Great card, but definitely noises! Great card so far!
I can just say that it's an amazing card for an amazing price. Computer has had a couple gpu related crashes and I've even had to reset the bios to get pc to boot once. I hadn't changed anything in the bios in weeks and it worked fine after the reset. If you can get a different brand card I recommend you do it.
