What is the macOS Sonoma version?

version 14. macOS Sonoma (version 14) is the twentieth and latest major release of macOS, Apple's operating system for Macintosh computers. The successor to macOS Ventura, it was announced at WWDC 2023 on June 5, 2023, and released on September 26, 2023. It is named after the wine region located in California's Sonoma County.

Can you download macOS Sonoma?

Use Software Update to download and install the latest version of macOS Sonoma. It's the fastest and easiest way to get macOS upgrades, and it might require less storage space to download and install. From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose System Settings.
